Encapsulation in the media

You would likely be aware of one or two famous people who have chosen to encapsulate or ingest their placenta in some way following the birth of their baby. From Kim & Kourtney Kardashian to Hilary Duff, it is widely known that celebrities are sharing their positive experiences with ingesting their placenta in the postnatal period. With so many awesome advocates for the practice, I wanted to share some of their comments with you as well as highlight a few articles for you to check out for further information.

Kim Kardashian explained why she gave placenta encapsulation a try, “I heard so many stories when I was pregnant with North, of moms who never ate their placenta with their first baby and then had postpartum depression, but then when they took the pills with their second baby, they did not suffer from depression!” Taking the placenta pills is just a personal choice she made for herself, stating “I can’t go wrong with taking a pill made of my own hormones- made by me, for me. I started researching and read about so many moms who felt this same way and said the overall healing process was so much easier.” Kim reported feeling so energised with no signs of depression.

The most important part of deciding whether encapsulation is right for you is ensuring you have a trusted and well trained specialist. As the opportunity to encapsulate is only available with the birth of a baby, it is essential that women are well informed of the process and have a placenta specialist available to answer any questions or concerns they may have.

I would love to be this person for you! Please let me know of any questions you would like to know more about!
